Aimed at grades 4-8, Electronic Field Trips are cross-curricular and can be used with a variety of grade levels as well as English Language Learners.
Live Broadcast and Video on Demand
Three eight-minute acts are online and on-demand all school year long. They also are available live by television broadcast, satellite or streaming video on scheduled dates during the school year.
Interact with experts, historians, and characters!
Become part of the broadcast! Call in during the program and one hour afterward, email a character/expert during the week of the live broadcast, submit a pre-taped video to the show in advance, or share what your class is working on via live video chat. Vote and use the message board all school year long.

Resources for Teachers
Online teacher materials include a topic-specific background article, lesson plans, time line, glossary, primary sources literacy lesson, bibliography for teachers and students, Web links, related National Standards, and searchable State Standard correlations for grades 4-8.
Web Activities for Students
Interactive student Web-based activities available all school year round for use in the classroom or at home.
