Opened in 1985, this museum is home to an extensive collection of American and British antiques. See furniture, metals, ceramics, glass, paintings, prints, firearms,and textiles from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Attend lectures and musical performances in the Hennage Auditorium.

Enter through the Public Hospital of 1773, a three-part exhibit on mental illness and treatment methods.

The Museum Store (open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) offers a range of books, music, jewelry, gifts, and accessories reflecting the museum's collection of 18th and early 19th-century decorative arts.

The Museum Café (open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) offers sandwiches, soups, beverages and desserts.

Teen Audio TourThe Museums of Colonial Williamsburg offer a special audio tour written and recorded by teenagers for teenagers called “Teen Takes: A New Angle on Art.” Museum curators augment the teens’ insights during the hour-long tour of 17 decorative arts and folk art pieces. The audio tour devices are available daily at the museum’s front desk in the museum lobby and are free to ticketed guests. Colonial Williamsburg Productions and Antenna Audio Tour produced the tours.
